Description
The specimen is self-explanatory, showing a portion of a peanut impacted in the right main
bronchus, just beyond its origin. There are some small areas of haemorrhage in each lower lobe,
which may represent violent respiratory effort, but there is no certainty in this. There appear to be
some small areas of haemorrhage at the base of the epiglottis.
